MLS International’s Computer Technology classes provide opportunities for all students to interact with technology regularly. Our Computer Mac Lab offers students exposure to technology learning seamlessly integrated into day-to-day activities. Every class in the Elementary program visits the Computer Lab once in a six-day cycle, additional time is provided for integrated projects in the contents areas and is supported by a mobile computer cart. All computers in the Lab have full Internet access, with a wide range of Web-based applications available for all grade levels. Students are able to use the Internet to gather and analyze information,and then use that information to create a presentation. Software and technology integrated programs such as World Literacy Competition day, supports Common Core based curricula. Assessment mechanisms are also available in the Lab, giving teachers additional tools to check student progress in many areas, from comprehension to basic math skills. Internet safety and ethical issues are also addressed. Our teachers are independent users of technology, utilizing computers and presentation equipment on interactive whiteboards to differentiate curriculum for all learners.
