MLS International takes pride in its diverse and family-like school environment. As a small school, we strive to maintain a community of good-hearted families of integrity who appreciate our mission and vision. Currently, our school parents come from various countries including: Australia, Bahrain, China, Egypt, India, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, and USA. While we celebrate the local Saudi Culture, our diversity creates opportunities for cultural understanding, appreciation and acceptance.
Parents are actively encouraged to be involved in their children’s education for academic purposes as well as to strengthening our close-knit environment. The MLS Parent Teacher Partnership (PTP) is a platform where parents and teachers are role models for students in giving back to society through community involvement. As PTP, parents and staff work together to enhance the school culture. They strengthen relationships that foster feelings of inclusion, caring, and a shared purpose.
I would like to express my appreciation for all the love, support, guidance, assistance and much more that MLS has given to my son. The attention that is received from MLS teachers has made him confident in his abilities and sparked his interest in many different subjects. MLS supported and gave each and every student the best education. The education social and physical skills combined turned him into a confident well educated and well mannered young boy which enabled him to adapt very easily in his new school in the UK. My child had a second trusted home, MLS . Thank you MLS!
My two children spent grades K1 - Grade 1 at MLS. One reason we chose MLS was the focus on individual student needs. We were pleased to have our children establish a solid foundation for love of learning and lifelong education. While some may see a small school as limited, we saw it as a chance for our children to feel significant and appreciated for their individual attributes. My children were given an opportunity to learn more about the Saudi culture through friendships and functions, while benefiting from an American curriculum with foreign language study and wellness education. I appreciated that the teachers seemed empowered to teach from their strengths and individual backgrounds, while still preparing their students for advancement at MLS or other schools. We've seen the difference a small school can make in grounding kids for immersion in a large school where they might otherwise feel small.
My children walked away from MLS with confidence and excitement to take on a new school because they had nothing but positive experiences to draw upon. We miss the smiling familiar faces of MLS, where there was never a shortage of hugs and support...like family. We now attend school on a large campus which many schools advertise as their strengths, but I still feel a little lost when I walk onto campus. My children are happy at a big school, but I firmly believe they benefited from having begun their educational adventures in a small pond!
