Celebrating Learning in the PYP

Our Grade 5, Grade 3, Grade 1A, and Grade 1B learners hosted their Celebrations of Learning, highlighting the inquiry, effort, and understanding developed throughout Semester 1. Students presented their work with confidence and demonstrated the knowledge and skills gained during their PYP units.
In the Primary Years Programme (PYP), unit celebrations play an important role in the learning process. They give students the opportunity to take ownership of their learning, communicate their understanding, and reflect on their inquiry journey. These experiences strengthen student agency and support the development of key skills such as collaboration, communication, and critical thinking.
Having parents join us added meaningful value to each celebration. When families are present, students feel supported, and the connection between home and school is strengthened. Parent participation also allows them to better understand the learning process and the purpose behind each unit.
We appreciate the work of our teachers and learners for preparing thoughtful and engaging presentations that reflect the ongoing learning taking place at MLS.
