Last week, our Early Years learners enjoyed a joyful water play exploration in the MLS Inquiry Garden. 🌿
Using water, lemons, oranges, leaves, branches, funnels, and cups, the children experimented, created, and discovered through hands-on sensory play. The activity was filled with curiosity, nature, and fun, and it also had a deeper purpose.
Sensory play is an essential part of early childhood development. It helps children strengthen fine and gross motor skills, develop language, build problem-solving abilities, and regulate emotions. By exploring with their senses, children make sense of the world around them, laying the foundation for confidence and creativity.
At MLS, we believe that learning begins with exploration. Last week’s sensory water play was a beautiful reminder that when children engage their senses, they are also learning, imagining, and growing. 💛
