Supporting Our Toddlers Together

MLS welcomed parents to our Toddler Coffee Morning, a warm and informative session focused on supporting early childhood development at home. Led by Ms. Milena, the workshop explored two key areas: Fine Motor Development and Conscious Discipline strategies for toddlers.

Parents learned how fine motor skills grow through everyday play and hands-on experiences, and how simple activities, like playdough, threading, drawing, buttoning, and zipping, build strength, coordination, and independence.

The session also explained why toddlers struggle with following directions and how their brains are still developing impulse control, emotional regulation, and understanding of limits. Through the lens of Conscious Discipline, parents practiced practical tools such as offering positive choices, using clear and kind directions, and connecting before correcting.

The morning encouraged meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and stronger home–school alignment, ensuring our toddlers receive consistent, loving guidance in both environments.
