Week Without Walls represents learning without limits, where classrooms extend into the real world and students grow through lived experiences. This immersive program allows learners to develop skills, understanding, and confidence beyond traditional academic settings.
Each year, our students explore a different country, and this year our international journey took us to Thailand. Through cultural exploration, historical learning, and shared experiences, students deepened their understanding of the world while strengthening bonds as a community. They faced new challenges, reflected on their learning, and stepped outside their comfort zones with curiosity and respect.
Reflecting on the experience, Ms. Claudia, Head of High School at MLS, shared:
“Watching our students step outside their comfort zones with curiosity, respect, and confidence reminded me of the true purpose of education. Experiences like this make me deeply proud to be their principal and to lead a school that believes in learning that truly lasts.”
At the same time, some students participated in local experiential learning opportunities in Riyadh, ensuring that every learner developed the same core skills, whether abroad or locally. These experiences included visits to NOFA Wildlife Park, museums, cinema, pottery workshops, spinning classes, horseback riding, cooking classes, Six Flags, and volunteering activities.
Both the international and local pathways were intentionally designed to cultivate essential learner attributes such as curiosity, courage, risk-taking, exploration, and the ability to embrace the unknown.
Week Without Walls reflects MLS’s commitment to experiential education—learning that is meaningful, reflective, and lasting. Whether across borders or within our local community, our students continue to grow as confident, compassionate, and globally minded learners.
