Young Entrepreneurs in Action: Grade 5 Business Fair

Our Grade 5 Business Fair was a great success and a strong example of student action in the PYP. As part of their end-of-unit Taking Action project, learners planned, designed, and created their own businesses, bringing entrepreneurship and real-world learning to life.

Students applied important skills such as budgeting, pricing, marketing, product design, advertising, and critical thinking as they developed and presented their ideas. The fair gave them the opportunity to take ownership of their learning while building confidence, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

With the support of our families and school community, the event raised SAR 5,859.75, making this initiative even more meaningful. These funds will be used to purchase Unit of Inquiry (UOI) research books for the school library, helping learners across grade levels strengthen their research skills and deepen their inquiry during PYP units. 📖✨

It was wonderful to see parents, students, and teachers coming together to support this initiative and celebrate student voice, agency, and purposeful learning.
