Last week, the MLS gym was transformed into a magical performance space as our Grade 6, 7, and 8 girls presented “Fairytale Spectacular🌟” an end-of-year concert featuring songs from famous cartoons and movies. Surrounded by parents, families, and loved ones, the students delivered an evening filled with music, creativity, and celebration.
What made this concert especially meaningful was the level of student agency and ownership behind the production. The project began in January 2026, when students started planning their end-of-year celebration and selecting the songs they wanted to perform. Following the conclusion of the Matilda production, rehearsals officially began in April, with students dedicating months of preparation and teamwork to bring the concert to life.
The entire show was student-led, both on stage and behind the scenes. In addition to the performers, a dedicated backstage team worked throughout the event to ensure everything ran smoothly, demonstrating collaboration, responsibility, and leadership.
Reflecting on the experience, Ms. Rawya, our music teacher, shared:
“Watching them on stage was truly emotional and rewarding. Seeing their confidence, growth, teamwork, and passion come to life in front of the audience was a very proud moment for all of us.”
The concert was a powerful celebration of creativity, commitment, and student voice. We are incredibly proud of our learners for the passion and professionalism they brought to every part of the production. 🌟
